Rules and Information

Bona fide entry forms signed by the principal with the school seal should be submitted on the day of reporting at the time of registration along with the students' IDs.

1. Team Registration and Composition

   a. Each team on the playing field shall consist of 5 players, including 1 goalkeeper.

   b. Teams are allowed to bring a total of 10 players, including the 5 starting players and 5 substitutes.

 

2. Match Format and Duration

   a. Matches will be played following the official 5-a-side football rules, with two halves of 15 minutes each and a 5-minute halftime break.

   b. If a match ends in a draw during the group stage, it will remain as such. In knockout matches, if the score is level at the end of regular play, a sudden-death overtime period of 5 minutes will determine the winner.

 

3. Player Eligibility and Documentation

   a. Players must provide valid identification documents and proof of age before the tournament commences.

   b. Teams are required to submit a finalized list of participating players, including their jersey numbers, to the organizers before the registration deadline. Any changes or additions after this date must be approved by the organizers.

 

4. Referees and Match Officials

   a. Certified and impartial referees will officiate all matches to ensure fair play and adherence to the rules.

   b. The decisions made by the match officials are considered final and binding. Teams and players are expected to display respect and sportsmanship towards the referees and fellow competitors.

 

5. Fair Play and Conduct

   a. The tournament places a strong emphasis on fair play and mutual respect. Acts of violence, unsportsmanlike behavior, or offensive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in penalties or disqualification, as deemed appropriate by the organizers.

   b. Players and team officials must demonstrate good sportsmanship, both on and off the field, and uphold the values of integrity and respect for all participants.

 

6. Rolling Substitutions

   a. Rolling substitutions are allowed during the matches. Players can enter or exit the field at any point during the game, provided that the outgoing player has left the field before the replacement enters.

   b. The referee must be notified of any substitutions to ensure a smooth transition.

 

7. Safety and Medical Assistance

   a. The organizers prioritize the safety of all participants and spectators. First aid stations will be available during matches to address minor injuries.

   b. In the case of any serious injuries, professional medical assistance will be promptly summoned.

 

8. Tie-Breaking and Group Stage Progression

   a. In the group stage, if two or more teams have equal points, the following tie-breakers will be applied in order:

      i. Goal difference.

      ii. Goals scored.

      iii. Drawing lots, if necessary.

 

9. Prizes and Awards

   a. Teams and players will be recognized and awarded for their exceptional performance and achievements during the tournament. However, there will be no cash prize.

10. Amendments and Updates

    a. The tournament organizers reserve the right to modify or update the rules as necessary. Any changes will be communicated to the participating teams in a timely and transparent manner.
